Brain Fitness for Business Effectiveness

You spend hours exercising your body to maintain your health and keep a sharp edge in business.  Why not flex your brain muscles to sharpen your business skills as well?  In this can’t miss program, Dr. Donalee Markus will demonstrate how to increase your mental effectiveness on the job.  This highly-experiential session is applicable for all business professionals and is specifically oriented towards Human Resources.  Dr. Markus demonstrates how sequential brain exercises from her program Learning How To Learn, can lead to increased effectiveness on the job.

Donalee Markus, Ph.D.

Donalee Markus, Ph.D., founder of Designs for Strong Minds (DSM), has helped individuals, corporations (McDonalds, Ameritech, Coopers & Lybrand, United States Federal Court System, Quaker Oats) and our top NASA and scientists maximize their intellectual potential and their capacity to learn.  She was introduced to the power of cognitive restructuring while working with renowned Israeli psychologist Reuven Feuerstein.  Since 1982, she has dedicated her life's work to changing people's lives through brain plasticity.   The brain is the most plastic organ in the human body.   Markus’ extensive work with mild to moderate post traumatic head injuries was published in the February 2007 edition of the Annals of Internal Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Clinics  of North America (pg;109-131).   In addition Mark Henricks, from Entrepreneur Magazine reviewed her book Retrain Your Business Brain, in which he called her work "yoga for the brain".
